Colour analysis is a technique for determining the type of beauty and the harmonising colours of wardrobe, make-up, jewellery or background in the case of photos and films. Depending on the need, we can emphasise the model’s beauty or draw the viewer’s attention to a particular aspect of the beauty in question, or quite the opposite, make the model an almost unnoticeable background for the clothes or make-up alone. An advert for mascara or eye drops can be a great example of how to bring a beautiful, expressive eye to the foreground, while how the model looked, what she was wearing, is already remembered by few after a while, and it is not a matter of the shots and editing alone, but also the play of light and colour that so influences what we see most clearly, in the first place, what emotions the image triggers and what gets stuck in the memory. In order to emphasise a selected element in a film or photo, it is enough to use a few tricks, but in everyday life this is simply not enough.

In the case of modelling, the model is supposed to be the canvas, appropriately raised to be the base on which the artist can express himself through make-up, fashion show or photography. On a day-to-day basis, however, it is completely different, each of us is already a finished work, a painting full of colour. A colour analysis is like choosing the right frame that draws attention to what is most beautiful, but is consistent with the whole, with style, personality and needs.
